Installing and Repairing Drains Throughout Lancashire
Title: Drain Repair
Location: Much Hoole, Lancashire
Project Description: This shared septic tank had been leaking in the owners yard causing boggy, patches and bad smells. We found the tank outlet and broken clay pipework from the tank to a land drain. We installed new pipework and added an inspection chamber so that the owners can quickly and easily if all is well at the tank outlet in future. Our client kindly offered to provide references for other customers she was so impressed with our work.

The brick-built shared tank in this yard seemed to be leaking, causing boggy patches and smells

We excavated around the outside of the tank to find the outlet

The clay outlet pipe from the tank had collapsed, causing the effluent to soak into the yard rather than directly to a nearby drain

Here you can see the tank outlet(left), the broken pipework(hence the water), and the land drain we will connect to (right)

Laying pipework to take the effluent away to the main drain. We added an inspection chamber so that the owners can easily see what is happening at the tank outlet in future.

The job was completed in one day and the yard is now dry and odour free
